You come to the meetings we organize to learn and to network. Potential employers who want an inside track on corporate talent are evaluating our group too. Chances are, they are more apt to share jobs with us to share with you if they see lots of activity and positive vibes coming out of this group. If there are things we could do better, this is an opportunity to say so too. News media are picking up on us slowly but surely. This feeds the network, gets the word out, attracts the eyeballs of people with jobs and hopefully reduces the time you must spend making this group part of your overall job search strategy.
All of your organizers are volunteering their time. Space for meetings is being contributed. Anything positive you can say on behalf of organizers and organizations involved will go a long way toward our being able to attract more organizers and organizations, thus expanding the network again. We all appreciate your participation and ultimately want to make a difference for you as well. |

I have been very impressed with the Virginia Career Network and its founders, Collins Denny and Deborah Gallant.
The professional quality of folks attending the meetings is very good. Additionally, those attending are very willing to share their ideas, expertise and network contacts. I have heard of folks getting leads about actual specific positions from this group. I have not had such a specific lead, but the discussions within the group and speakers' presentations have been relevant and will be directly related to the success of my job search. I highly recommend this group for career networking purposes. Daniel Pettyjohn |
