In these difficult economic times VCU has developed and made available assistance measures for our
School of Business and School of Engineering Alumni. The Business and Engineering Career Center, the
University Career Center, and the VCU Alumni Association have joined with the schools to offer these
initiatives. Please utilize these opportunities as appropriate for your position search.

1. The Business and Engineering Alumni Database. Alumni from our schools are encouraged to visit
the database, sign in and upload your resume. We are actively promoting the site through our
alumni resources and the communities to have employers visit the Alumni Database when they
have vacancies for more experienced individuals.

2. Resume review and assistance. Our counselors are available electronically to assist in your
resume review. (This allows the counselors to assist you when they have the time.) Initial

3. Rams Recruiting. Rams Recruiting, formerly called Career Connections, is the job posting facility
for employers searching for internships or full time positions from Virginia Commonwealth
University. Many, if not most, of these positions are entry level, targeting undergraduate or

4. Career Networking. One of our alumni who is a board member of the VCU Alumni Business
Society, Collins Denny, has formed a career networking group that meets every Wednesday
morning from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM in room B2175 of the School of Business Snead Hall, 301 W.
Main Street, for networking and speakers. He is in the process of forming a second group.
Registration for the meetings is requested due to space limitations. It is open to everyone,
