The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
--Four (4) or more years of hands-on experience supporting "WinTel" environments --Windows Server 2003 experience is required --Windows Server 2008 experience is a plus --Proven, hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is required --Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 certification is desired --Implementation and configuration experience of enterprise scale, clustered and complex Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment is required --Proven and demonstrated experienced supporting an enterprise messaging infrastructure (experience supporting 25,000+ end-user mailboxes is desired) --Understanding of Powershell including ability to demonstrate use of Powershell for configuration of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is required --Ability to communicate about and describe migration activities from Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 (changes between the two systems, challenges and benefits for implementing a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 platform) --Strong troubleshooting skills and strong communication skills are required Additional responsibilities of the Exchange 2007 Administration and Support role may include: --Perform daily Exchange 2007 administration functions including involvement with Exchange 2003 environment, Windows 2003 Server environment and Active Directory 2003 environment --Provide first line and escalated administration and support for Exchange 2007 and integrated administration and support between Active Directory and Exchange 2007, end-user support escalation issues and analysis of troubleshooting requests from the HelpDesk --Ensuring backups, restores, and all regular / scheduled proactive and preventative maintenance activities in the Exchange 2007 environment are performed and verified --Supporting and troubleshooting advanced email functions associated with 3rd party solutions such as BlackBerry, IronPort, Symantec (anti-virus, anti-spam), etc. --Work in partnership across technology architecture, operations and support teams (including sub-contractors and external technology vendor partners) to administer and troubleshoot peripheral systems that impact the Exchange 2007 environment including storage, network, hardware, monitoring systems, etc. --Support and implement modifications, upgrades and configuration changes in the Exchange 2007 environment as recommended by architecture, operations and support teams to maintain a stable Exchange 2007 email environment --Seek to proactively provide recommendations to management to improve the reliability, stability and manageability of the Exchange 2007 environment, as appropriate --Participate & work with operations, support and project teams, as requested, to test and document modifications to the Exchange 2007 environment, including support and administration procedures Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree Send resume to collinsd@lesr-it.com |
