Scientific Business Analyst
This is for an Scientific Business Analyst: Requires a B.S in Chemistry, Biology or other Science • Minimum 5 years experience in Chem/bio informatics in support of scientists in pharmaceutical, biotech or academic labs, or equivalent work experience. • Must have excellent communication skills along with proven track record of success.

Responsibilities: This candidate will support the migration of critical research applications to a centralized data center. Typical responsibilities include leading requirements meeting and creation of requisite SDLC documentation. This includes as-is & future state depictions along with supporting test cases. Must be capable of directly interacting with both scientists and technical support teams.

Research Associate
We are looking for a research associate. Skills required: • Thorough knowledge of ANSYS (commercial finite element software for structural analyses) • Finite Element Methods • Proficiency in MATLAB • Linux, Unix in general • Linear theory of elasticity • Elementary statistical data analysis and stochastic processes • VMS desired but not a requirement

Responsibilities: Contractor shall create image-based finite element models from XTC data to estimate bone strength, including the following: • Use FE_MESH (Scanco Medical) to generate ANSYS compatible FEMs from *.AIM image files generated from clinical XCT (Scanco Medical) scans on a VMS workstation • Impose appropriate boundary conditions on the ANSYS XCT image-based FEMs • Perform linear compression test with an imposed predefined fixed force • Post-processing of ANSYS FEA results to determine failure load according to a predefined linear criterion • Use MATLAB to compute failure force scaling factor from effective strain distribution out of the ANSYS FEA results • Elementary statistical analysis of the results
