6 month contract

Senior Web Designer / Information Architect

Responsibilities
* Work with Analysts, Product Development, and Operations to
understand user stories and use cases
* Translate user stories into several screen mockup options for
each major component of functionality (paper iterations)
* Conduct usability exercises with Operations and Product
Development (using the screen mockups) to determine optimal
workflow and information design
* Translate designs into html / css / graphics for integration
* Follow Section 508 guidelines
* Conduct Usability Studies / Focus Groups at determined
intervals throughout the project
* Make iterative updates to designs as warranted
* Assist Analysts with defining system requirements based on
designs
* Assist QA with test cases based on designs
* Work with Developers to implement front end technologies
(JavaScript / AJAX / Flex / Flash / etcŠ.) for data integration
* Leverage data visualization where deemed appropriate
* Document application design standards
* Actively participate in prototyping activities
