Virginia Supportive Housing is a non-profit organization that incorporated in 1988 to provide permanent housing and support services for people who are homeless or who have disabilities in order to help them become more independent. VSH provides a proven permanent solution to homelessness by transforming lives and communities through its innovative housing development, excellent property management, and comprehensive support services. VSH is seeking a CFO who is willing to become a part of an exciting, vibrant, and growing agency that has doubled in size in the past two years! Job Description: The CFO is responsible for managing the finances of VSH ($7.5 mil. budget) and its 11 affiliates. The CFO is responsible for all accounting, reporting, contract compliance, and human resource functions, and oversees management of the accounting office. The CFO reports to the Executive Director and advises her/him re financial decisions/condition of the organization. Qualifications: Degree in Accounting and either a Masters degree or CPA certification required. At least two years experience with QuickBooks required. Must have at least five years experience in a CFO/Controller position. Familiarity with housing/real estate development/property management accounting a plus. Experience with low-income housing tax credit projects/fiscal agent relationships a plus. Ability to make sound financial projections, recommendations and decisions in an uncertain economy. Experience with a non-profit, housing or governmental agency preferred. Salary Range: $70,000-90,000. VSH also provides a full benefits package.
